The September Adult RE program will be presented in two parts. Robert Lumley-Sapanski will present a program on the little known Underground Railroad history in Bellefonte. The first part will be a hybrid meeting at 7 PM on Thursday, September 15. The Zoom link is below and the in person portion will be in the Friends School library. Robert will share slides and talk about the Underground Railroad history in Bellefonte, the role the Quakers played during this time and other related historical facts; for instance, did you know Frederick Douglass spoke in Bellefonte or that Bellefonte was one of the first Pennsylvania public school districts to integrate their schools?
